Important Announcement

LEHYC is delighted to host the Down Bay Regatta on August 11-13, 2023. This annual premier sailing and social event is possible because of our incredible community of member volunteers.

The Saturday evening dinner dance held on Saturday, August 12 is one of the highlight events of the summer and is always attended by both registered sailors and non-sailing LEHYC members over 21 years of age.

In order to ensure that the Down Bay Regatta is an enjoyable and safe event, please review how our members can participate as volunteers and note the following:

• We have 250 tickets available for purchase reserved for our LEHYC volunteers who are not sailing in the Regatta. As a reminder, all non-sailing volunteers are required to be 21 years old to attend the Dinner Dance. We cannot make any exceptions.
• Our volunteers may purchase a maximum of two tickets per person by contacting Eileen in the Club Office by phone or email.
• To volunteer, please click the Sign Up Genius link here. Your volunteer activity needs to be confirmed prior to your ticket purchase. 
• The dinner dance ticket cost is $80PP before July 31st and $85PP after August 1st.  Complimentary Beer and Wine will be served during the cocktail hour. 

The Dinner Dance tickets are limited and sell out quickly. A Wait List will be maintained after the tickets sell out.  Wait Listed members are also required to volunteer.

Our Class A and A+ members are invited to purchase two (2) tickets per membership without volunteering.

The weekly eblast will notify members when tickets will be available for pick up at the Club Office. You must present a ticket to enter the event. 

We invite our LEHYC sailors participating in the event to purchase dinner tickets at check-in.  Please register to sail online @ yachtscoring.com. If you need housing assistance, please contact Kristen Millar @ [email protected].

We abide by the STATE OF NEW JERSEY policy on Alcoholic beverages.

• YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO CONSUME ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
• EVERYONE UNDER AGE 35 WILL BE CARDED
• Up to two (2) forms of positive identification are required when alcoholic beverages are made available.
